GeKKo 7” – Gerechtigkeits- und Klimakonferenz vor dem G7-Gipfel

Taking place from June 17-19 in Munich. Organizers are the Climate Cooperation Initiative in cooperation with Fridays for Future. Jürgen Kaiser from erlassjahr.de / Jubilee Germany will organize a workshop on "And who is going to pay for it all? - Why Climate Justice Needs Debt Relief“. What do we want? - Climate Justice!

The countries most affected by the climate crisis have contributed the least, in contrast to the industrialised nations. How can effective climate protection and climate justice go hand in hand at the global level?

As part of the G7 presidency, the German government has announced that it will seek to form an international climate club. The Climate Cooperation Initiative, together with Fridays for Future, is planning a conference in Munich before this year's G7 summit, where we will discuss how to make such an alliance climate justice. GeKKo 7 will provide space for an intensive exchange between activism, politics and science on global climate cooperation and various climate justice issues.

In workshops, lectures, a panel discussion as well as a MAPA plenary (MAPA = Most Affected People and Areas) we will learn together and from each other as well as work out demands together.

We are looking forward to seeing you!
